The short clip “Tango Ghosts (2005)” is a tango nuevo style video clip to Gotan Project’s Santa Maria…. Interesting visuals — the whole clip is in inverted colors, making the dancers appear like ghosts on a one-colored background. In addition the scene is shot from multiple angles, projected on top of each other, just the first few seconds are single-scene. The dancing is OK, but nothing too fancy, stylish or “high class” — as far as I can tell.
Much more interesting is the real background story to this clip: is creators are Beatfix, a group of VJs who do stuff like this in real-time as video performance. And I have to say, this really looks cool. Imagine the possibilities… many more examples can be found at beatfix’s website!
A Scanner Darkly looks like it will be THE movie coming out this summer. Another movie based on a Phillip K. Dick novel, OK; Keanu Reeves in a standard KeanuReevesRole, OK; Killer aesthetics through its movie-made-into-a-comic style
