- Irene and Man Yung’s Tango Blog: Buenos Aires 2008 – Part 4 – Your partner can be a world-famous show (or even salon) tango instructor, or the most skilled follower in the local tango community, but she would still not come close to what dancing with a milonguera like Elba (or Susy Tilbe – Man Yung had a chance to dance with her on the first day of our first visit to Buenos Aires) feels like. "Milonguera" seems to be a state of mind that could be transmitted to the leader when the milonguera follows. It is a deep feeling, which also feels like complete freedom. You don't have to worry about whether your partner can follow or not follow, or whether something would be "too tricky" or "too plain" or "too easy" or "too difficult". The milonguera dances to enjoy the dance, she is not anxious about being able to follow everything that the leader is trying to do (even though she can, and she does), nor does she care. It was as if Elba had given Man Yung the order to "dance, dance!" and that was all he needed to do – to dance.

Neu in Rhein-Neckar, aber immer auf der Suche nach neuen Tango locations und Milongas. Samstag Abends gibt es hier in der Gegend nur eine Milonga in einer „gewöhnlichen“ Tanzschule — und das [Don Carlitos](http://www.cafemilonga.de). Die Wahl ist einfach: wenn Tango dann Tango.
Es war der erste Samstag im Juni, und deshalb auch ein spezieller Samstag Abend: NeoTango Club mit Isabella und Jaro von [Tango Flores](http://www.tango-flores.de/„Tango Flores – Tango Argentino mit Isabella und Jaro“), angekündigt als „50 % Tango und 50 % NeoTango und Alternative Musik“. Eine Aussage, die bekannterweise einen guten Teil der Tangotänzer abschreckt… Ich bin ja abgehärtet aus mehreren Jahren Münchner Erfahrung: [Tango Fusion Club](http://www.tangofusionclub.com/„tango fusion club | home“) und Nik & Hauke’s Milonga im Lachdach sind schon seit Jahren auf der experimentierfreudigen Seite.
Entgegen meinen Erwartungen (…[Platz für 20 Paare](http://www.wolkengeschichten.de/tango_regional.html)…) eher Platz für doppelt so viele Paare, und wenn man gesittet tanzen würde, bestimmt Platz für 50 Paare 
. Aber, da die Veranstaltung NeoTango spielt sind die Spielregeln eh wieder ganz andere. (Der Platzbedarf steigt mit der Geschwindigkeit der Musik und der Menge an getanzten Sacadas, Voleos, etc.)
Wie war die Musik? 50 % Tangos, Valses und Milongas — und 50 % NeoTango und Alternatives, ganz wie angekündigt. Leider waren viele der Alternativen Stücke viel zu schnell, so daß sich das Gesamtbild eher so darstellt: 25 % Tangos, 50 % Stücke mit der Geschwindigkeit einer Milonga, der Rest Valses oder langsamere Nicht-Tangos. An sich ist das alles auch kein Problem, wenn nicht die Hälfte der Tänzer bei den schnellen Stücken Vollgas geben würden — halbes Tempo wäre eher angesagt; dann klappts auch mit den Nachbarn und der Tanzrichtung.
Aber sonst ein Lob an die Veranstalter und DJs. Die Musik war durchaus tanzbar und abwechslungsreich! Lediglich ein kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag: vielleicht wäre es schöner, wenn die Quote eher so aufgeteilt wäre: 50 % (Tango) — 50 % (Milonga, Vals, NeoTango und anderes).
Hier werde ich öfter tanzen! Und auch sehr schön: Tango Flores versucht, die Mannheimer Tangoszene ein wenig zu beleben! Mehr dazu später.
