iTunes & Podcasts
iTunes finally speaks podcast – but not very fluently yet. There is much eye candy, but it doesn’t just make things nicer it also covers up some very annoying bugs.
What Ⅰ do not like:
– podcasts are very separate from the rest of iTunes. There is no way of creating a smart playlist for podcasts.
– there is no per-podcast setting
– there is no way of saying: „take the most current podcast with a hit counter of 0“
– how do Ⅰ get old podcasts into the system and make them bookmarkable?

Ⅰ agree that the lack of a per podcast setting is annoying. Particularly for deleting old items. Some podcasts update everyday and I’d like to keep them for a week, others update once a week, and Ⅰ don’t need to keep them.
Now Ⅰ just manually delete the ones Ⅰ don’t need.
Also, when iTunes removes a podcast behind the scenes, it just removes it from the display. Have a look in your podcasts folder using the Finder, the files might still be there taking up space.
