Ⅰ was research plant compounds and neurmindase inhibitors, TNF inhibitors and interferon when Ⅰ ran across a reference to star anise. Thought I’d look into it. Wondering how likely it is that one use the woody exterior in a whole format, and combine it with other such plant substances such as turmeric and pepper to combat the hemoraghic effects of a flu like the 1918 one. I’ve talked with people from India and Pakistan, and they use a fried concoction of peppers, turmeric, star anise, and eat it in quantity and drink lots of coffee if they have a flu and swear it makes it stop pretty quick. Adults and children use it.
